Dalton Home Sales Show Wide Price Split as Most August Deeds Await Recorded Prices
The Middle Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 11 Dalton property transfers between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26, but only two carried a sale price by reporting time: $371,000 for 18 Elaine Ave. and $190,272 for 36 Claremont Rd., putting the recorded range at $190,272 to $371,000 and the median at $280,636. The remaining nine transfers, including a paired trust transfer at 125 River Birch Lane and several tied to mortgage instruments involving Greylock Federal Credit Union and the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, had no price on file yet, which is typical of the registry's reporting lag rather than a withheld figure.
