Dalton Deed Filings Rise in Late Summer, but Most Sale Prices Go Unrecorded
Fifteen property deeds were recorded in Dalton from Aug. 14 to Sept. 12, according to Middle Berkshire Registry of Deeds records, but only three listed a sale price. Disclosed prices ranged from $242,641 to $775,000, with a median of $350,000. The period's top sale was a $775,000 condominium unit at 345 Red Barn Rd., part of the Silver Maple Farm development, sold by Silver Maple Farm and Ronald C. Aasen to Gary Perlin. Eight of the 15 filings referenced mortgage instruments, and the Town of Dalton or its fire district was listed as buyer in four transactions, limiting how much the data reveals about traditional home-sale pricing this period.
