Dalton Fire and Water District Adopts Five Policies, Closes $350,000 Property Bond

Dalton's Fire and Water District approved five standard operating policies and finalized a $350,000 bond anticipation note at its June 30 Prudential Committee meeting. The district awarded the one-year note to Bank ESV at 3.1 percent, the lowest of four bids, with the first payment due July 2, 2027; the district plans to refinance through a conventional loan when the note matures. The five policies adopted cover employee callbacks, holdovers, shift duties, emergency vehicle response, and educational leave, all approved unanimously without discussion.
