Dalton Deed Filings Show Wide Price Gap, Few Prices Disclosed
The Middle Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 14 property transfers in Dalton between July 10 and Aug. 8. Only four included a disclosed sale price, ranging from $50,000 to $420,000, with a median of $224,285. The period's top recorded sale was 181 Park Ave at $420,000, transferred from Cory Evangelisto to Pittsfield Cooperative Bank on July 14. Raymond Drive, East Housatonic Street and Park Avenue each saw two related filings. With 71% of recorded transfers lacking price data and several buyers being mortgage companies, the data offers only a partial picture of Dalton's traditional home-sale market this period.
